2020-12-13dm: treewide: Rename 'platdata' variables to just 'plat'Simon Glass
We use 'priv' for private data but often use 'platdata' for platform data. We can't really use 'pdata' since that is ambiguous (it could mean private or platform data). Rename some of the latter variables to end with 'plat' for consistency. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-08-07dm: Rename DM test flags to make them more genericSimon Glass
The test flags used by driver model are currently not available to other tests. Rather than creating two sets of flags, make these flags generic by changing the DM_ prefix to UT_ and moving them to the test.h header. This will allow adding other test flags without confusion. 2020-08-03dm: core: Drop header files from dm/test.hSimon Glass
These header file should not be included in other header files. Remove them and add to each individual file. Add test/test.h to test/ui.h since that is a reasonable place. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-05-18common: Drop log.h from common headerSimon Glass
Move this header out of the common header. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2019-02-09power: regulator: Introduce regulator_set_enable_if_allowed apiLokesh Vutla
regulator_set_enable() api throws an error in the following three cases: - when requested to disable an always-on regulator - when set_enable() ops not provided by regulator driver - when enabling is actually failed.(Error returned by the regulator driver) Sometimes consumer drivers doesn't want to track the first two scenarios and just need to worry about the case where enabling is actually failed. But it is also a good practice to have an error value returned in the first two cases. So introduce an api regulator_set_enable_if_allowed() which ignores the first two error cases and returns an error as given by regulator driver. Consumer drivers can use this api need not worry about the first two error conditions. Signed-off-by: Lokesh Vutla <lokeshvutla@ti.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2018-04-27Remove unnecessary instances of DECLARE_GLOBAL_DATA_PTRTom Rini
We have a large number of places where while we historically referenced gd in the code we no longer do, as well as cases where the code added that line "just in case" during development and never dropped it. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-12-12power: extend prefix match to regulator-name propertyFelix Brack
This patch extends pmic_bind_children prefix matching. In addition to the node name the property regulator-name is used while trying to match prefixes. This allows assigning different drivers to regulator nodes named regulator@1 and regulator@10 for example. I have discarded the idea of using other properties then regulator-name as I do not see any benefit in using property compatible or even regulator-compatible. Of course I am open to change this if there are good reasons to do so. Signed-off-by: Felix Brack <fb@ltec.ch> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2015-07-21dm: pmic: Split output from functionSimon Glass
The regulator_autoset() function mixes printf() output and PMIC adjustment code. It provides a boolean to control the output. It is better to avoid missing logic and output, and this permits a smaller SPL code size. So split the output into a separate function. Also rename the function to have a by_name() suffix, since we would like to be able to pass a device when we know it, and thus avoid the name search. 2015-05-14test: dm: add sandbox PMIC framework testsPrzemyslaw Marczak
This change adds new file to sandbox driver model test environment. The file is: test/dm/power.c, and it includes tests for PMIC framework, which includes PMIC uclass and REGULATOR uclass. All tests are based od Sandbox PMIC emulated device. Some test constants for this device are defined in the header: include/power/sandbox_pmic.h PMIC tests includes: - pmic get - tests, that pmic_get() returns the requested device - pmic I/O - tests I/O by writing and reading some values to PMIC's registers and then compares, that the write/read values are equal. The regulator tests includes: - Regulator get by devname/platname - Voltage set/get - Current set/get - Enable set/get - Mode set/get - Autoset - List autoset For the regulator 'get' test, the returned device pointers are compared, and their names are also compared to the requested one. Every other test, first sets the given attribute and next try to get it. The test pass, when the set/get values are equal.
