2022-09-18cyclic: Use schedule() instead of WATCHDOG_RESET()Stefan Roese
Globally replace all occurances of WATCHDOG_RESET() with schedule(), which handles the HW_WATCHDOG functionality and the cyclic infrastructure. 2021-09-23crc32: Add crc32 implementation using __builtin_aarch64_crc32bMarek Vasut
ARMv8.0 has optional crc32 instruction for crc32 calculation. The instruction is mandatory since ARMv8.1. The crc32 calculation is faster using the dedicated instruction, e.g. 1.4 GHz iMX8MN gives: => time crc32 0x50000000 0x2000000 time: 0.126 seconds # crc32 instruction time: 0.213 seconds # software crc32 Add implementation using the compiler builtin wrapper for the crc32 instruction and enable it by default, since we don't support any platforms which do not implement this instruction. 2021-05-24lib: crc32: put the crc_table variable into efi_runtime_rodata sectionMarek BehĂșn
When compiling with LTO, the compiler fails with an error saying that `crc_table` causes a section type conflict with `efi_var_buf`. This is because both are declared to be in the same section (via macro `__efi_runtime_data`), but one is const while the other is not. Put this variable into the section .rodata.efi_runtime, instead of .data.efi_runtime, via macro __efi_runtime_rodata. 2019-12-02crc32: Use the crc.h header for crc functionsSimon Glass
Drop inclusion of crc.h in common.h and use the correct header directly instead. With this we can drop the conflicting definition in fw_env.h and rely on the crc.h header, which is already included. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2019-12-02crc: Fix code style with crc functionsSimon Glass
Some of these have a space before the bracket. Drop it to fix the style. Add some missing function comments while here. Note that u32 and u8 cannot be used here since crc.h is included on the host side. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2018-12-23lib: crc32: mark static variable as __efi_runtime_dataHeinrich Schuchardt
In commit 483dbab9f931 ("lib: crc32: mark function crc32() as __efi_runtime") one local static variable was missed. It did not end up in the __efi_runtime_data section as it should. If CONFIG_DYNAMIC_CRC_TABLE=y a data abort execption may occur when the UEFI payload calls the SetVirtualAddressMap() runtime service. 2018-08-20lib: crc32: mark function crc32() as __efi_runtimeHeinrich Schuchardt
The function crc32() is needed by the EFI subsystem at runtime. So it has to be linked into the runtime section together with all dependencies. Eliminate empty defines local and ZEXPORT. Mark variables as static which are not exported. Signed-off-by: Heinrich Schuchardt <xypron.glpk@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: Alexander Graf <agraf@suse.de>

2013-04-19crc32: Correct endianness of crc32 resultSimon Glass
When crc32 is handled by the hash library, it requires the data to be in big-endian format, since it reads it byte-wise. Thus at present the 'crc32' command reports incorrect data. For example, previously we might see: Peach # crc32 40000000 100 CRC32 for 40000000 ... 400000ff ==> 0d968558 but instead with the hash library we see: Peach # crc32 40000000 100 CRC32 for 40000000 ... 400000ff ==> 5885960d Correct this. 2013-02-28Roll crc32 into hash infrastructureSimon Glass
Add the CRC32 algorithm to the list of available hashes, and make the crc32 command use hash_command(). Add a new crc32_wd_buf() to make this possible, which puts its result in a buffer rather than returning it as a 32-bit value. Note: For some boards the hash command is not enabled, neither are sha1, sha256 or the verify option. In this case the full hash implementation adds about 500 bytes of overhead. So as a special case, we use #ifdef to select very simple bahaviour in that case. The justification for this is that it is currently a very common case (virtually all boards enable crc32 but only some enable more advanced features). Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
