2019-05-26configs: Migrate CONFIG_FMAN_ENET and some related options to KconfigTom Rini
Move the main symbol for Freescale Fman Ethernet controller option to Kconfig. Also migrate the CONFIG_SYS_QE_FMAN_FW_IN_xxx macros and rename the SPIFLASH one to follow the same format as all of the others. To do this fully we need to migrate CONFIG_QC, do so. 2019-05-22armv8: Secure Boot: Modify boot_a_script definitionVinitha V Pillai
esbc_validate command will not be executed if “load” command for its header fails and will further execute the source command for bootscript, without its validation and boot process continues. To halt the boot process in case secure boot header is not loaded successfully, esbc_validate command is invoked separately after “load” command. The secure boot validation of the bootscript header will fail (if header is not loaded) and halts the boot process, which prevent source command from execution. 2018-07-26armv8: ls1046ardb: Enable IFC for SPL buildYork Sun
Commit a52ff334c5b1 ("armv8: ls1046ardb: SPL size reduction") reduced image size for SPL. IFC was disabled. If PPA is loaded in SPL, MMU is enabled as a result. Removing IFC skips IFC region in the MMU table, causing later failure in RAM version U-boot when accessing CPLD through IFC. Only disable IFC if PPA is not enabled for SPL. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. 2018-03-16Convert all of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX to KconfigTom Rini
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_CONS_INDEX We have existing entries for this option in a number of places, with different guards on them. They're also sometimes used for things not directly inside of the serial driver. First, introduce a new symbol to guard the use of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX, so that in the case where we don't need this for the serial driver, but for some other use, we can still do it. Next, consolidate all of these into the single entry in drivers/serial/Kconfig. Finally, introduce CONS_INDEX_[023456] so that we can imply a correct value here to make the defconfig side of this smaller. This commit removes definitions of CONFIG_SYS_BARGSIZE defined to be equal to CONFIG_SYS_CBSIZE in numerous configuration files. We remove such definitions in two situations: - CONFIG_SYS_CBSIZE is otherwise not defined in the board configuration file, which means the default value of CONFIG_SYS_CBSIZE == 256 applies. In this case, the default value of CONFIG_SYS_BARGSIZE == 512 (common/image.c) is suitable, as it is larger. - CONFIG_SYS_CBSIZE is defined in the board configuration file, but to a value equal or less than 512. In this case, the default value of CONFIG_SYS_BARGSIZE == 512 (common.image.c) is suitable, as it is equal or larger. 2017-05-22lib: move hash CONFIG options to KconfigTom Rini
Commit 94e3c8c4fd7b ("crypto/fsl - Add progressive hashing support using hardware acceleration.") created entries for CONFIG_SHA1, CONFIG_SHA256, CONFIG_SHA_HW_ACCEL, and CONFIG_SHA_PROG_HW_ACCEL. However, no defconfig has migrated to it. Complete the move by first adding additional logic to various Kconfig files to select this when required and then use the moveconfig tool. In many cases we can select these because they are required to implement other drivers. We also correct how we include the various hashing algorithms in SPL. - Add SD secure boot target for ls1046ardb. - Change the u-boot size defined by a macro for copying the main U-Boot by SPL to also include the u-boot Secure Boot header size as header is appended to u-boot image. So header will also be copied from SD to DDR. - CONFIG_MAX_SPL_SIZE is limited to 90KB. SPL is copied to OCRAM (128K) where 32K are reserved for use by boot ROM and 6K for the header. - Reduce the size of CAAM driver for SPL Blobification functions and descriptors, that are not required at the time of SPL are disabled. Further error code conversion to strings is disabled for SPL build. Using changes in this patch we were able to reduce approx 4k size of u-boot-spl.bin image. Following is breif description of changes to reduce SPL size: 1. Changes in board/freescale/ls1046ardb/Makefile to remove compilation of eth.c and cpld.c in case of SPL build. 2. Changes in board/freescale/ls1046ardb/ls1046ardb.c to keep only ddr_init and board_early_init_f funcations in case of SPL build. 3. Changes in ls1046a_common.h & ls1046ardb.h to remove driver specific macros due to which static data was being compiled in case of SPL build. 4. Disable MMC driver from bieng compiled in case of SPL NAND build and NAND driver from bieng compiled in case of SPL MMC build. 2017-01-31mmc: move CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC to KconfigMasahiro Yamada
Now, CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC seems equivalent to CONFIG_MMC. Let's create an entry for "config GENERIC_MMC" with "default MMC", then convert all macro defines in headers to Kconfig. Almost all of the defines will go away. I see only two exceptions: configs/blanche_defconfig configs/sandbox_noblk_defconfig They define CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC, but not CONFIG_MMC. Something might be wrong with these two boards, so should be checked later. Anyway, this is the output of the moveconfig tool.
