When using distro boot to boot from UBI volumes the boot partition has been hardcoded to "UBI" (capital letters). However, our default MTD layout uses "ubi" (lower case letter). Define "ubi" as the default UBI partition for distro boot for Toradex. This allows to use distro boot without having to redefine the MTD partition layout which is useful for TorizonCore. 2018-10-09colibri_imx7: prime get_ram_size() using imx_ddr_size()Fabio Estevam
Rather than passing a hardcoded maxsize to the generic get_ram_size() function use the i.MX 7 specific imx_ddr_size() function, which extracts the memory size at runtime by reading the DDR controller registers. This is a purely cosmetic change as the generic get_ram_size() function already took care of properly automatically detecting 256MB, 512MB or 1GB modules. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_NAND CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_UBI CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE In fact this already exists for sunxi as a 'choice' config. However not all the choices are available in Kconfig yet so we cannot use that. It would lead to more than one option being set. In addition, one purpose of this series is to allow the environment to be stored in more than one place. So the existing choice is converted to a normal config allowing each option to be set independently. There are not many opportunities for Kconfig updates to reduce the size of this patch. This was tested with ./tools/moveconfig.py -i CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC And then manual updates. This is because for CHAIN_OF_TRUST boards they can only have ENV_IS_NOWHERE set, so we enforce that via Kconfig logic now. 2017-04-06Remove various unused interrupt related codeTom Rini
With d53ecad92f06 some unused interrupt related code was removed. However all of these options are currently unused. Rather than migrate some of these options to Kconfig we just remove the code in question. The only related code changes here are that in some cases we use CONFIG_STACKSIZE in non-IRQ related context. Use two separate partitions for the two firmware instances. Also resize them to be of the same size which also makes the start of the UBI partition nicely aligned to 0x400000. In order to detect the new MTD layout and whether we run a U-Boot with the new BCB format or not, introduce a variable called "updlevel" which we can use in update/upgrade scripts. 2017-03-19colibri_imx7/colibri_imx6/apalis_imx6: limit bootm memoryStefan Agner
Limit memory used for relocation of FDT or initrd. This is required to make sure that relocated artifacts are within lowmem. If fdt_high or initrd_high are not set, U-Boot automatically relocates artifacts to the end of memory. But this area won't be part of lowmem and hence will not be accessible by the kernel during early boot. With VM split set to 2G/2G (i.MX default), only the 2GB Apalis iMX6 is affected by that issue. With VM split set to 3G/1G (ARM default) also modules with 1GB of memory are affected. With the latter the amount of lowmem will be 760MiB. The value must also not exceed available memory!
