2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2018-01-12mmc: add a Kconfig option to enable the support for MMC write operationsJean-Jacques Hiblot
This allows using CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(MMC_WRITE) to compile out code needed only if write support is required. The option is added for u-boot and for SPL Signed-off-by: Jean-Jacques Hiblot <jjhiblot@ti.com>
2017-08-01dm: mmc: Allow disabling driver model in SPLSimon Glass
At present if U-Boot proper uses driver model for MMC, then SPL has to also. While this is desirable, it places a significant barrier to moving to driver model in some cases. For example, with a space-constrained SPL it may be necessary to enable CONFIG_SPL_OF_PLATDATA which involves adjusting some drivers. Add new SPL versions of the options for DM_MMC, DM_MMC_OPS and BLK. By default these follow their non-SPL versions, but this can be changed by boards which need it. 2016-10-09dm: mmc: Support eraseSimon Glass
At present erase is not suported with CONFIG_DM_OPS. Add it so that MMC devices can be erased. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2016-10-08spl: saveenv: adding saveenv support in SPLB, Ravi
By default saveenv option is not supported for SPL. This patch enable the support for save environment variable for SPL build. Enable save environment support in SPL after setenv. By default the saveenv option is not provided in SPL, but some boards need this support in 'Falcon' boot, where SPL need to boot from different images based on environment variable set by OS. For example OS may set "reboot_image" environment variable to "recovery" inorder to boot recovery image by SPL. The SPL read "reboot_image" and act accordingly and change the reboot_image to default mode using setenv and save the environemnt. 2016-07-11mmc: Move tracing code into separate functionsSimon Glass
Move this code into separate functions so that it can be used from the uclass also. Add static inline versions for when the option is disabled. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2016-07-11mmc: Move MMC boot code into its own fileSimon Glass
Rather than having an #ifdef in the main mmc.c file, control this feature from the Makefile by moving the code into its own file. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2016-07-11mmc: Add function declarations for mmc_bread() and mmc_switch_part()Simon Glass
These private functions are used both in the driver-model implementation and in the legacy code. Add them to the header. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2016-05-27dm: mmc: Fix up mmc_bread/bwrite() prototypes for SPLSimon Glass
When these functions are not compiled in, we still need to declare the correct function signature to avoid a build warnings in SPL. Fix this. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2016-05-17dm: mmc: Add support for driver-model block devicesSimon Glass
Add support for enabling CONFIG_BLK with MMC. This involves changing a few functions to use struct udevice and adding a MMC block device driver. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2016-05-17dm: mmc: Move the device list into a separate fileSimon Glass
At present the MMC subsystem maintains its own list of MMC devices. This cannot work with driver model, which needs to maintain this itself. Move the list code into a separate 'legacy' file. The core MMC code remains, and will be shared with the driver-model implementation. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2016-03-14dm: Drop the block_dev_desc_t typedefSimon Glass
Use 'struct' instead of a typdef. Also since 'struct block_dev_desc' is long and causes 80-column violations, rename it to struct blk_desc. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com> Tested-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
2016-01-13block: pass block dev not num to read/write/erase()Stephen Warren
This will allow the implementation to make use of data in the block_dev structure beyond the base device number. This will be useful so that eMMC block devices can encompass the HW partition ID rather than treating this out-of-band. Equally, the existence of the priv field is crying out for this patch to exist. 2013-09-20mmc: don't support write & erase for SPL buildsPaul Burton
For SPL builds this is just dead code since we'll only need to read. Eliminating it results in a significant size reduction for the SPL binary, which may be critical for certain platforms where the binary size is highly constrained.
