2018-08-16configs: Migrate CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKSTom Rini
We have the following cases: - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was defined, migrate normally - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS_MAX was defined and then used for CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS after a check, just migrate it over now. - CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was very oddly defined on p2771-0000-* (to 1024 + 2), set this to 8. 2018-05-14treewide: Move CONFIG_PHY_MARVELL to KconfigMario Six
The CONFIG_PHY_MARVELL has already been migrated to Kconfig (some boards already had it in their Kconfig), but had not been moved for older boards. Move it to the defconfigs for all boards. Signed-off-by: Mario Six <mario.six@gdsys.cc> Acked-by: Joe Hershberger <joe.hershberger@ni.com>

2017-10-10cmd: Toggle the default value of CONFIG_CMD_IMLSTuomas Tynkkynen
Having this as a 'default y' is rather annoying because it doesn't actually compile unless other options are defined in the board header: ../cmd/bootm.c: In function 'do_imls_nor': ../cmd/bootm.c:330:7: error: 'CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_BANKS' undeclared (first use in this function); did you mean 'CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_SECT'? i < CONFIG_SYS_MAX_FLASH_BANKS; ++i, ++info) { Make it 'default n' so people who develop new boards that start from a blank defconfig have one less compilation failure to debug. 2017-05-01fdt: Move fdt_fixup_ethernet to a common placeTom Rini
With 3f66149d9fb4 we no longer have a common call fdt_fixup_ethernet. This was fine to do on PowerPC as they largely had calls already in ft_cpu_fixup. On ARM however we largely relied on this call. Rather than introduce a large number of changes to ft_cpu_fixup / ft_board_fixup we recognize that this is a common enough call that we should be doing it in a central location. Do it early enough that we can do any further updates in ft_cpu_fixup / ft_board_fixup. 2017-02-12flash: complete CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH move with renamingMasahiro Yamada
We repeated partial moves for CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH, but this is not completed. Finish this work by the tool. During this move, let's rename it to CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH. Actually, we have more instances of "#ifndef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH" than those of "#ifdef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH". Flipping the logic will make the code more readable. Besides, negative meaning symbols do not fit in obj-$(CONFIG_...) style Makefiles. This commit was created as follows: [1] Edit "default n" to "default y" in the config entry in common/Kconfig. [2] Run "tools/moveconfig.py -y -r HEAD SYS_NO_FLASH" [3] Rename the instances in defconfigs by the following: find . -path './configs/*_defconfig' | xargs sed -i \ -e '/CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH=y/d' \ -e 's/# CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH is not set/CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH=y/' [4] Change the conditionals by the following: find . -name '*.[ch]' | xargs sed -i \ -e 's/ifndef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH/ifdef CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH/' \ -e 's/ifdef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH/ifndef CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH/' \ -e 's/!defined(CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH)/defined(CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH)/' \ -e 's/defined(CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH)/!defined(CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH)/' [5] Modify the following manually - Rename the rest of instances - Remove the description from README - Create the new Kconfig entry in drivers/mtd/Kconfig - Remove the old Kconfig entry from common/Kconfig - Remove the garbage comments from include/configs/*.h Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com>

2016-06-20autoboot: add CONFIG_AUTOBOOT to allow to not compile autoboot.cMasahiro Yamada
Since commit bb597c0eeb7e ("common: bootdelay: move CONFIG_BOOTDELAY into a Kconfig option"), CONFIG_BOOTDELAY is defined for all boards. Prior to that commit, it was allowed to unset CONFIG_BOOTDELAY to not compile common/autoboot.c, as described in common/Makefile: # This option is not just y/n - it can have a numeric value ifdef CONFIG_BOOTDELAY obj-y += autoboot.o endif It was a bit odd to enable/disable code with an integer type option, but it was how this option worked before that commit, and several boards actually unset it to opt out of the autoboot feature. This commit adds a new bool option, CONFIG_AUTOBOOT, and makes CONFIG_BOOTDELAY depend on it. I chose "default y" for this option because most boards use the autoboot. I added "# CONFIG_AUTOBOOT is not set" for the boards that had not set CONFIG_BOOTDELAY prior to the bad commit. Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com>

2016-03-14Kconfig: Move CONFIG_FIT and related options to KconfigSimon Glass
There are already two FIT options in Kconfig but the CONFIG options are still in the header files. We need to do a proper move to fix this. Move these options to Kconfig and tidy up board configuration: CONFIG_FIT CONFIG_OF_BOARD_SETUP CONFIG_OF_SYSTEM_SETUP CONFIG_FIT_SIGNATURE CONFIG_FIT_BEST_MATCH CONFIG_FIT_VERBOSE CONFIG_OF_STDOUT_VIA_ALIAS CONFIG_RSA Unfortunately the first one is a little complicated. We need to make sure this option is not enabled in SPL by this change. Also this option is enabled automatically in the host builds by defining CONFIG_FIT in the image.h file. To solve this, add a new IMAGE_USE_FIT #define which can be used in files that are built on the host but must also build for U-Boot and SPL. Note: Masahiro's moveconfig.py script is amazing. 2015-11-12nios2: rename board nios2-generic to 3c120_devboardThomas Chou
Rename board nios2-generic to 3c120_devboard. Since nios2 is converted to driver model and device tree control of u-boot, the nios2-generic board directory is removed. We can rename the board back to a real board name. Now the boards maintained in u-boot mainline are the same as Linux kernel, namely 3c120 and 10m50.
