2022-09-24serial: Call flush() before changing baudratePali Rohár
Changing baudrate is a sensitive operation. To ensure that U-Boot messages printed before changing baudrate are not lost, call new U-Boot console flush() function. Signed-off-by: Pali Rohár <pali@kernel.org> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2022-08-04Audit <flash.h> inclusionTom Rini
A large number of files include <flash.h> as it used to be how various SPI flash related functions were found, or for other reasons entirely. In order to migrate some further CONFIG symbols to Kconfig we need to not include flash.h in cases where we don't have a NOR flash of some sort enabled. Furthermore, in cases where we are in common code and it doesn't make sense to try and further refactor the code itself in to new files we need to guard this inclusion. 2022-06-22cmd: load: add load command for memory mappedRui Miguel Silva
cp.b is used a lot as a way to load binaries to memory and execute them, however we may need to integrate this with the efi subsystem to set it up as a bootdev. So, introduce a loadm command that will be consistent with the other loadX commands and will call the efi API's. ex: loadm $kernel_addr $kernel_addr_r $kernel_size with this a kernel with CONFIG_EFI_STUB enabled will be loaded and then subsequently booted with bootefi command. The loads srec loading may overwrite piece of U-Boot accidentally. Prevent that by using LMB to detect whether upcoming write would overwrite piece of reserved U-Boot code, and if that is the case, abort the srec loading. 2021-09-03xyz-modem: Properly abort/terminate transfer on errorPali Rohár
Transfer termination tries to instruct sender that transfer was terminated. Print error message and indicates aborted transfer in return value. Signed-off-by: Pali Rohár <pali@kernel.org> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2021-09-01loadb: Properly indicate aborted kermit transferPali Rohár
When k_recv() returns zero it indicates that kermit transfer was aborted. Function do_load_serial_bin() (caller of load_serial_bin()) interprets value ~0 as aborted transfer, so properly propagates information about aborted transfer from k_recv() to do_load_serial_bin(). 2021-08-02global: Convert simple_strtoul() with decimal to dectoul()Simon Glass
It is a pain to have to specify the value 10 in each call. Add a new dectoul() function and update the code to use it. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2021-03-19cmd/load: support uploading EFI binary via UARTHeinrich Schuchardt
When uploading an EFI binary via the UART we have to call efi_set_bootdev() or we won't be able to execute it. Put the includes into alphabetic order. Fixes: 5f59518a7b1a ("efi_loader: setting boot device") Signed-off-by: Heinrich Schuchardt <xypron.glpk@gmx.de>
2021-02-02common: Drop asm/global_data.h from common headerSimon Glass
Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so remove that include. 2020-05-18command: Remove the cmd_tbl_t typedefSimon Glass
We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward declarations which means that header files must include the full header to access them. Drop the typedef and rename the struct to remove the _s suffix which is now not useful. This requires quite a few header-file additions. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-05-18common: Drop net.h from common headerSimon Glass
Move this header out of the common header. Network support is used in quite a few places but it still does not warrant blanket inclusion. Note that this net.h header itself has quite a lot in it. It could be split into the driver-mode support, functions, structures, checksumming, etc. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-08-16env: Rename getenv/_f() to env_get()Simon Glass

2017-02-12flash: complete CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH move with renamingMasahiro Yamada
We repeated partial moves for CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH, but this is not completed. Finish this work by the tool. During this move, let's rename it to CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH. Actually, we have more instances of "#ifndef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH" than those of "#ifdef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH". Flipping the logic will make the code more readable. Besides, negative meaning symbols do not fit in obj-$(CONFIG_...) style Makefiles. This commit was created as follows: [1] Edit "default n" to "default y" in the config entry in common/Kconfig. [2] Run "tools/moveconfig.py -y -r HEAD SYS_NO_FLASH" [3] Rename the instances in defconfigs by the following: find . -path './configs/*_defconfig' | xargs sed -i \ -e '/CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH=y/d' \ -e 's/# CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH is not set/CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH=y/' [4] Change the conditionals by the following: find . -name '*.[ch]' | xargs sed -i \ -e 's/ifndef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH/ifdef CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH/' \ -e 's/ifdef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH/ifndef CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH/' \ -e 's/!defined(CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH)/defined(CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH)/' \ -e 's/defined(CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH)/!defined(CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH)/' [5] Modify the following manually - Rename the rest of instances - Remove the description from README - Create the new Kconfig entry in drivers/mtd/Kconfig - Remove the old Kconfig entry from common/Kconfig - Remove the garbage comments from include/configs/*.h Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com>
