2022-01-15efi: Support the efi command in the appSimon Glass
At present the 'efi' command only works in the EFI payload. Update it to work in the app too, so the memory map can be examined. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: Heinrich Schuchardt <heinrich.schuchardt@canonical.com>
2022-01-15x86: efi: Update efi_get_next_mem_desc() to avoid needing a mapSimon Glass
At present this function requires a pointer to struct efi_entry_memmap but the only field used in there is the desc_size. We want to be able to use it from the app, so update it to use desc_size directly. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2021-02-02common: Drop asm/global_data.h from common headerSimon Glass
Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so remove that include. 2020-09-06efi: clean up efi commandHeinrich Schuchardt
* Eliminate superfluous enum value EFI_TABLE_END. * Use correct variable type for the memory type. * Check validity of memory type. * Make efi_build_mem_table static. Signed-off-by: Heinrich Schuchardt <xypron.glpk@gmx.de>
2020-05-21efi_loader: add EFI_MEMORY_SP to memory attributesHeinrich Schuchardt
The UEFI 2.8 specification has introduced the EFI_MEMORY_SP memory attribute. Add it to the 'efidebug memmap' and 'efi mem' commands. Signed-off-by: Heinrich Schuchardt <xypron.glpk@gmx.de>
2020-05-18common: Drop log.h from common headerSimon Glass
Move this header out of the common header. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-05-18command: Remove the cmd_tbl_t typedefSimon Glass
We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward declarations which means that header files must include the full header to access them. Drop the typedef and rename the struct to remove the _s suffix which is now not useful. This requires quite a few header-file additions. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2019-12-02common: Move sorting functions to their own header fileSimon Glass
These don't need to be in common.h so move them out into a new header. Also add some missing comments. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

Fix cppcheck complaint: [cmd/efi.c:173]: (style) Clarify calculation precedence for '&' and '?'. 2018-08-21efi: Add EFI_MEMORY_{NV, MORE_RELIABLE, RO} attributesEugeniu Rosca
With this update, the memory attributes are in sync with Linux kernel v4.18-rc4. They also match page 190 of UEFI 2.7 spec [1]. 2018-08-21efi: Fix truncation of constant valueEugeniu Rosca
Starting with commit 867a6ac86dd8 ("efi: Add start-up library code"), sparse constantly complains about truncated constant value in efi.h: include/efi.h:176:35: warning: cast truncates bits from constant value (8000000000000000 becomes 0) This can get quite noisy, preventing real issues to be noticed: $ make defconfig *** Default configuration is based on 'sandbox_defconfig' $ make C=2 -j12 2>&1 | grep truncates | wc -l 441 After the patch is applied: $ make C=2 -j12 2>&1 | grep truncates | wc -l 0 $ sparse --version v0.5.2 Following the suggestion of Heinrich Schuchardt, instead of only fixing the root-cause, I replaced the whole enum of _SHIFT values by ULL defines. This matches both the UEFI 2.7 spec and the Linux kernel implementation. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
