2019-10-08spl: Allow tiny printf() to be controlled in SPL and TPLSimon Glass
At present there is only one control for this and it is used for both SPL and TPL. But SPL might have a lot more space than TPL so the extra cost of a full printf() might be acceptable. Split the option into two, providing separate SPL and TPL controls. The TPL setting defaults to the same as SPL. 2019-07-13configs: Make USE_TINY_PRINTF depend on SPL||TPL and be defaultTom Rini
The USE_TINY_PRINTF symbol only changes things within SPL and TPL builds, so make it depend on that support. Next, make it default as within these cases we should rarely have need of more advanced print formats outside of the debug context. To do this, in a few cases we need to correct our Kconfig dependencies as we had cases of non-SPL targets select'ing this symbol. The ISW_ENTRY_ADDR Kconfig option under mach-omap2 isn't a SoC specific notion but rather "where is our previous stage loaded in memory?" option. 2019-01-26ARM: mach-omap2: Kconfig: Allow OMAP5 devices to set entry pointAndrew F. Davis
Like AM33xx and AM43xx, DRA7xx and AM57xx devices may need to have an non-standard boot address in memory. This may be due to the device being a high security variant, which place the Initial SoftWare (ISW) after certificates and secure software. Allow these devices to set this from Kconfig. 2018-03-16Convert all of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX to KconfigTom Rini
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_CONS_INDEX We have existing entries for this option in a number of places, with different guards on them. They're also sometimes used for things not directly inside of the serial driver. First, introduce a new symbol to guard the use of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX, so that in the case where we don't need this for the serial driver, but for some other use, we can still do it. Next, consolidate all of these into the single entry in drivers/serial/Kconfig. Finally, introduce CONS_INDEX_[023456] so that we can imply a correct value here to make the defconfig side of this smaller. 2018-02-23ARM: Kconfig: Move TI_SECURE_DEVICE to a common areaAndrew F. Davis
TI_SECURE_DEVICE is used by both OMAP2+ and Keystone2 family devices, and so when ARCH_OMAP2PLUS was used to gate off the OMAP2+ Kconfig Keystone2 family devices lost this config option. Move this option out of mach-omap2 Kconfig to a spot accessible by both families. We picked arch/arm/Kconfig over the TI specific board/ti/ location as this option is not specific to our boards but rather our architecture. Plus at some point this option can be changed to just SECURE_DEVICE, as having secure parts is not exclusive to TI and so other vendors can interpret this option as needed by their device configurations. 2017-08-13spl: add hierarchical defaults for SPL_LDSCRIPTPhilipp Tomsich
With SPL_LDSCRIPT moved to Kconfig (and this being a 'string' config node), all the lingering definitions in header files will cause warnings/errors due to the redefinition of the configuration item. As we don't want to pollute the defconfig files (and values should usually be identical for entire architectures), the defaults are moved into Kconfig. Kconfig will always pick the first default that matches, so please keep these values at the end of each file (to allow any board-specific Kconfig, which will be included earlier) to override with an unconditional default setting. 2017-06-05t81xx: Migrate TI81XX/TI816X/TI814X symbols to KconfigTom Rini
The symbol CONFIG_TI81XX is used for the parts that are common to the TI816x and TI814x SoCs and are not part of CONFIG_ARCH_OMAP2PLUS nor CONFIG_AM33XX. It however has so few uses that we can just modify the code to check for both and drop the symbol. The symbols CONFIG_TI816X and CONFIG_TI814X are for the repective SoCs. In Linux, CONFIG_ARCH_OMAP2PLUS is used for OMAP2 or later SoCs. Rename CONFIG_ARCH_OMAP2 to CONFIG_ARCH_OMAP2PLUS to follow this naming. Move the OMAP2+ board/SoC choice down to mach-omap2/Kconfig to slim down the arch/arm/Kconfig level. 2016-11-21arm: Introduce arch/arm/mach-omap2 for OMAP2 derivative platformsTom Rini
This moves what was in arch/arm/cpu/armv7/omap-common in to arch/arm/mach-omap2 and moves arch/arm/cpu/armv7/{am33xx,omap3,omap4,omap5} in to arch/arm/mach-omap2 as subdirectories. All refernces to the former locations are updated to the current locations. For the logic to decide what our outputs are, consolidate the tests into a single config.mk rather than including 4.
